Beaconfire Launches Donation Tool for Grassroots Political Network
Arlington, Va., August 5, 2005 — Beaconfire Consulting recently launched an online donation application customized for EMILY's List, a Washington, D.C.-based political action committee dedicated to helping elect pro-choice Democratic women to office.
The Web-based application sets the stage for increased donations and greater visibility as candidates up and down the ticket prepare for the upcoming mid-term and 2008 elections.
"Our new online donation application will facilitate the contribution process for EMILY's List," said EMILY's List Development Director, Cheryl Gregory. "As we begin to lay the groundwork for 2006, this new system will enable us to ensure we can reliably and securely collect the resources needed to protect pro-choice Democratic women incumbents up for re-election and elect more women to office."
Improvements to the donation tool through which supporters give money to candidates include a better user experience, enhanced reliability, and tighter security. Visitors to www.emilyslist.org can donate to multiple candidates in a single transaction. They can also give gift memberships or buy tickets to an event.
