Dottie Hodges, Vice President and co-founder of Beaconfire, served as part of the teaching faculty at the Direct and Interactive Marketing Institute for Professors, held this January at the University of Maryland and sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association of Washington Educational Foundation (DMAWEF) and conducted by DMEF.
Her session, "Integrated Marketing: The Internet As Hero" presented a working model for integrated marketing, followed by exploration of real-world examples of successful integrated marketing campaigns. The session also discussed tactics for developing such a program within a nonprofit organization, including setting goals and objectives, audience assessments, and the creation of an organization-wide communications calendar.
Participants from universities across the country commented on the effectiveness of the models presented, as well as the welcome "real-world" experience and hands-on examples from Beaconfire's client work.
