Bob the Builder on Project Management

As a parent of a five year old and a 21 month old, I have been subjected to Bob the Builder on an ongoing basis for about four years now. More times than I can count I have been accosted with the catch phrase:
“Can we fix it?”
“YES WE CAN!”
Now, while the optimist in me loves this passion and can-do spirit, the professional project manager in me cringes every time. Am I the only one who thinks it is irresponsible for us to teach our kids that anything can be done without understanding the scope and context? Shouldn’t it be:
“Can we fix it?”
“YES IN PRINCIPAL, but it depends on your budge, timeline, and organizational buy-in.”
Maybe it is just me.
