Michael Cervino, Vice President

Michael is a principal consultant and co-founder of Beaconfire Consulting.

For nearly two decades Michael has helped commercial and nonprofit organizations create effective and results-driven advocacy, fundraising, and marketing communications. Michael is a seasoned advisor who works side-by-side with nonprofit organizations to guide their use of technology for communications, marketing, constituent data management, fundraising and organizational development.

Michael is hands on in developing and executing the online strategies for our clients. He works closely with the client teams on online strategy, technology planning projects, constituent data management strategy, online marketing programs, and Web site development projects.

Michael has led projects for the ACLU, the AFL-CIO, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Easter Seals, Heifer International, Heifer International Foundation, Human Rights First, the C. S. Mott Foundation, Planned Parenthood, and many others.

Prior to co-founding Beaconfire, Michael was the Director of Strategy for the Nonprofit Practice at Commerce One (formerly AppNet/NMP). Previously, he worked at Focalpoint Marketing, where he developed relationship marketing programs for Fortune 500 clients. Michael began his career with Craver, Mathews, Smith and Company where he spent eight years directing the direct response fundraising programs for progressive and humanitarian clients.

A veteran writer and speaker, Michael is an ePhilanthropy Foundation Master Trainer and author of "Promoting Your Organization Online" in Fundraising on the Internet, The ePhilanthopyFoundation.Org's Guide to Success Online.
