Jeff Herron, Vice President and Co-Founder
As leader of the delivery team, Jeff forges collaborative partnerships with our clients and manages Beaconfire’s project teams to ensure top quality and responsive Web design and customer service.
As part of his client work, Jeff helps organizations identify what they need from technology and select the best available solution. With more than 10 years experience working with large nonprofit organizations, Jeff brings an understanding of the business needs that nonprofit organizations must integrate with their technology investments.
Jeff has led Beaconfire on dozens of client initiatives including projects for the Wildlife Conservation Society, Heifer International, American Physical Society, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the American Legacy Foundation. Jeff is a frequent speaker on Internet issues and Web development strategies, presenting to associations and other nonprofits at the national and regional levels.
Jeff serves on the board of Idealware (www.idealware.org), which provides candid Consumer-Reports-style reviews and articles about software of interest to nonprofits via the Web.
Before co-founding Beaconfire, Jeff was a senior project manager at Commerce One, formerly AppNet/NMP. Previously, Jeff served as Manager of Online Services for the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, a pioneering national professional association. In this role, Jeff spearheaded a representative and cross-functional team in the development of online Web initiatives.
