About the Position

This position requires a visionary veteran with a thorough understanding of interactive marketing and the integration of online marketing with traditional forms of outreach. The Online Campaigns & Marketing (OCM) Lead is responsible for strengthening and expanding the OCM service to Beaconfire’s progressive nonprofit client base – providing leadership to our clients and staff in conceiving and implementing successful campaigns.

The OCM Lead role demands an ability to wear multiple hats, apply creative thinking and problem solving, instilling confidence and motivation in clients and team, and a passion for working collaboratively with colleagues and clients. We’re looking for a well-rounded and persuasive individual who can hold their own in a room full of passionate and assertive people.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage a portfolio of high profile, large nonprofit clients, providing executive leadership to clients and Beaconfire staff working on their behalf and identifying strategic opportunities for continued online program growth
  • Work with Beaconfire’s cross-functional client teams to develop marketing campaigns and communications efforts that can incorporate everything from email and social media marketing to SEO and SEM to effectively grow constituencies and deliver advocacy, fundraising, and other outcomes
  • Collaborate with Beaconfire’s management and sales team to develop new projects and relationships including writing proposals, attending pitch meetings, working on contracts, speaking at conferences, and demonstrating industry thought leadership
  • Provide personnel management for the OCM team including but not limited to setting goals, delivering annual reviews, collaborating on training recommendations, addressing personnel issues, providing feedback, advocating for staff

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years experience with online marketing and fundraising campaigns; experience with related disciplines such as grassroots organizing, direct mail, consulting, and cross-channel marketing or working with or at a nonprofit organization highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success building and growing client relationships and strategic consulting with senior management.
  • Project and team leadership experience required. Experience managing a service line to deliver online marketing projects is ideal.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands and deadlines. Proactively identify, communicate and collaborate to solve problems. Must be a resourceful, self-starter with an ability to work both independently and with a cross-departmental team.
  • Knowledge of online marketing best practices and trends. Reputation as thought leader in online marketing and fundraising a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to issues of social justice, human rights, humanitarian relief, poverty and hunger, healthcare and disabilities, political advocacy, the environment, and women’s rights. Experience working with or at a nonprofit organization a plus.
  • Demonstrated success using Internet tools, processes, and creative techniques for nonprofit fundraising, activism, and constituency building. Experience with eCRM and CMS platforms such as Blackbaud/Kintera and Convio a plus.
